Conception

My daily challenge is to design sophisticated, wearable and incomparably tinted clothing, with real quality and essential functionality, that women can wear on any occasion. A naturally avant-garde garment, inspired by the spirit of its manufacturers and wearers for over 30 years.

There is also a constantly refreshing capsule collection comprising various unusual pieces, both modern and timeless. A true sartorial art with precisely crafted cuts, our own color formulas and representative values, with an infinity of options to combine, connecting the past and the present. - Connyie Rethmann

The materials

Each collection is designed with the brand's own textures and fabrics, including pre-washed silk, wool, cotton, linen, tencel, soy, ramie, viscose blends and all kinds of eco-friendly blends. Breathable, easy-to-wear and easy-to-care-for materials. These quality fabrics can never be recreated as they are limited edition carcass materials.

The dyeing process

Unique to the brand, it consists of a wide mix of shrinking washes and dyes, which makes each garment unique and leaves that vintage touch. This natural aged design has been handled by artisan designers from Hamburg using traditional dyeing techniques since 1984.

The piece

The brand believes in clothes made with heart and soul instead of sweat and tears. We celebrate handmade work. Our clothes are made with the work of love and great care. We work like a small family business with experienced employees and long-term relationships with all our manufacturers, producers and partners. We sell hand-pleated, hand-ironed, hand-washed, hand-sewn, hand-stitched and hand-dyed clothes. The subtle variations of craftsmanship are an integral part of the DNA of PRIVATSACHEN.
